Over a few weekends, it will be time for your very first race after the Asopos Najaars! The SGOEPPPATS intraclub event in Utrecht on the 11th of January. A 500-meter spar with our other rowing pals. So prepare yourself for a day full of competition and fun.
Attendance
Bib numbers can be picked up from me. If you don’t return your bib number, there is a €10 fine per bib number.
Coxswains' Meeting
The race consists of two blocks: a morning block and an afternoon block, followed by the finals.
To participate in the race, it is mandatory for the coxswain to complete the coxswain’s test. Please review the coxswains' meeting instructions attached.
Food and Drinks
- During the day, sandwiches, soup, and hot chocolate will be available for purchase.
- Beer, wine, soft drinks, coffee, and tea can be bought at the bar throughout the day.

If you were unable to get a dinner ticket, it’s also a fun option to go out for dinner in Utrecht! Afterwards, you can rejoin the party. If you choose this, we recommend taking an OV-fiets

Verlengde Hoogravenseweg 13, 3525 BB Utrecht.
To reach the venue by bus, navigate to the *Kastelenplantsoen* bus stop. Upon arrival, walk around the buildings to the left, head to the dock, and take the second staircase up. You’ll find Orca’s canteen in the middle of the Driewerf.
Party
There will be a party in the Orca canteen; tickets can be found here.
In addition, Orca has a strict policy regarding hazing, vandalism, etc. If any of these things occur, the party will unfortunately be ended immediately. Let’s keep it fun, get to know each other, and toast to a great head season!
If unwanted behavior occurs, you can contact your own board, the compocie, Orca’s board or Orca’s management (sociëteitsbestuur). They can be recognized by a black-green vest with a number on it.
Lockers are available in limited numbers. Other belongings can be hung on the coat racks.
Changing Rooms / Restrooms / Showers
Changing rooms, restrooms, and showers are available and shared with Triton. Please keep them clean. Changing rooms will close at 22:00, so ensure you remove your belongings in time!
Race clothing
Bring your race clothing; if you don’t have it yet, you can order it in the webshop and pick it up directly in the board room.
Boat trailer
Since Orca is kind enough to make its boats available, there is no need for a boat trailer to run!

The race takes place at the Orca premises in Utrecht. If you're traveling by car, navigate to Verlengde Hoogravenseweg 13, 3525 BB Utrecht. Please note that parking space is limited. Use the bus or public transport bikes if you're traveling by public transportation. If you're taking the bus, from Utrecht CS station, take bus line 1 towards Hoograven and get off at Kastelenplantsoen stop. Walk back a bit to the corner, turn left, then take the first right (Liesbosweg). At the end, turn left at the T-junction, cross the bridge, and follow this road until you reach the shed (approximately 500 m from the bus stop).
