This weekend the first-year competition ploegen will get to get back in the boat, and not just any place - we are all going to the Willem Alexander Baan! Where normally wedstrijd-rowers race, the first-year teams get to take a sneak peek at this important race course. In addition, the Baan Eight team will also start. And as a fun number we will also see the compocie shining on the water!

De wedstrijd
For the C4+ ploegen, the race consists of a 1000 meter pre-race and a 2000 meter final. So you row twice regardless.
The preliminary race is a time-trial with a doorstart. The kamprechter will tell you 100 meters before the start that you may start with "bouwen".
The final is with fixed start and with 8 ploegen boord-aan-boord.
The course
The WAB is a challenging course. It can be quite windy and incredibly busy.
This weekend both the Stuurboord- and the Bakboordbokaalploegen will start. That's a lot of rowers!!! Keep that in mind. Also, you have to row far up for the 1000m ( i.e. 3000 meters). So you have to start to vlot on time.

Bereikbaarheid
It is not far to the WAB, but it is a bit difficult to reach. Therefore, special buses have been provided to take everyone to and from the WAB.
