This weekend, the first-year competitie teams are allowed to get back in the boat, and not just anywhere - we're all heading to the Willem Alexander Baan! Where normally wedstrijd rowers race, the first-year teams get a chance to take a look at this important racing course. Additionally, Two Peas in a Pod will also start in the double two.
For first-years, the race will consist of a 1000-meter preliminary race with a restart and a 2000-meter final with fixed start. For experienced rowers, the race consists of two fixed-start 2000-meter races.
Important information for starting the Rottebokaal:
there are some key points you need to know. It can be very windy at the WAB. Considering this, along with it being the first fixed start for some of you of the EJC season, it's crucial that you master the following:

Before starting the Rottebokaal, it's mandatory to read the following coxswain information. The boating rules at the Willem Alexanderbaan differ from those at the Bosbaan.

It's not far to the WAB, but it's difficult to reach. That's why special buses have been arranged to transport everyone to and from the racecourse. The address of the Willem-Alexander baan is: Nely Gambonplein, 2761 EH Zevenhuizen.
